The board of VSA Groningen keeps the formal side of the association running. Being on the board can be very rewarding and is a fantastic way to learn new skills and meet amazing new people. The experience also looks great on your resume.
We are currently looking to fill the following roles:
President
You keep an overview of the association. Your tasks include:
- Chairing board meetings;
- Organising the yearly General Assembly;
- Staying in contact with the events committee;
- Keeping an overview of the discount.
Weekly workload: 2 hours
Secretary
You are in charge of internal communication. Your tasks include:
- Preparing the agenda of board meetings;
- Creating the task list;
- Keeping the membership registration;
- Answering incoming emails.
Weekly workload: 2 hours
Head of Marketing
You will be in charge of social media and the website. Your tasks include:
- Making designs for social media;
- Running Instagram and Facebook;
- Updating the website;
- Sending the member newsletter.
Weekly workload: 2 hours
Treasurer
You keep track of finances and other formal affairs. Your tasks include:
- Keeping an overview of income and expenses;
- Reimbursing members
- Updating the KvK-registration.
Weekly workload: 1 hour
What are we looking for?
You don’t need prior experience to join the board: motivation is the most important. You will get a lot of support from experienced board members from VSA Netherlands, so you won’t be alone.
Motivation
If you’re chosen, you will be spending a few hours a week on VSA Groningen the next year, so the most important thing is that you can have fun doing that!
Vegan-minded
This probably doesn’t come as a surprise, but as a board member, you need to be passionate about veganism.
Student
We’re not only accepting current students, but also people who recently graduated and people who are taking a gap year.
English-speaking
As an association with a lot of international members, it is important that you can express yourself in English.
